2026 Fall Festival!
A Celebration of Nature's Curious Side
Nature is full of surprises, and some of its most fascinating creatures are also its most misunderstood!
On October 24th, the Louis Robidoux Parkland & Pecan Grove welcomed the community for its fourth annual Fall Festival. This year's theme, Nature's Curiosities, celebrated the strange, surprising, and sometimes spooky side of the natural world.
Families gathered for an afternoon of hands-on activities, free food and pumpkins, cultural performances, and opportunities to learn more about the plants, animals, and habitats found right here in our community.
Pumpkin Creature Feature
This year, we put a wildlife-inspired twist on our annual student art contest!
Students from Jurupa Unified School District were invited to transform pumpkins into animals found at LRPPG, combining artistic creativity with a little wildlife research. Their imaginative creations were displayed at the festival, giving visitors a chance to see the Parkland's wildlife through the eyes of young artists.
Congratulations to our contest winners, and thank you to every student and teacher who participated!
A Little Curiosity Goes a Long Way
Throughout the festival, local conservation and community organizations shared their knowledge through educational displays, activities, and conversations with visitors.
These booths gave families an opportunity to explore environmental topics, learn about local conservation efforts, and discover ways to get involved in caring for our natural resources.
A big thank-you to all of our participating organizations for sharing their time, creativity, and expertise!
Culture, Community, and Fall Fun
The celebration also featured live performances by Ballet Folklórico Amor, Cultura y Tradición and Kalli Tecpatl, bringing traditional dance, music, and cultural expression to the Parkland.
Between performances, families enjoyed free pumpkins, pumpkin painting, food, games, and activities throughout the festival grounds.
Whether visitors came for the festivities, the wildlife, or simply an afternoon outdoors, there was plenty to discover!
