Spend a Morning Planting With Us!
Get your hands dirty for a good cause! Join the Inland Empire Resource Conservation District (IERCD) for a community planting day at Louis Robidoux Parkland & Pecan Grove.
Volunteers will help plant native species that provide food, shelter, and other important resources for local wildlife. Along the way, you'll learn a little about our region's native plants and how thoughtful planting and habitat management help care for our natural spaces.
Everyone is welcome! We'll provide the tools, plants, and guidance. All you need to bring is a willingness to dig in!
What to Expect:
We'll kick off the morning with a brief introduction to the Parkland, a planting demonstration, and a few safety reminders before heading out to work. IERCD staff will be available throughout the event to answer questions and help volunteers along the way.
Please come prepared with:
- Closed-toe shoes and comfortable clothes you don't mind getting dirty
- A reusable water bottle
- Sunscreen, a hat, and other sun protection
Volunteer Requirements
All ages and experience levels are welcome! No previous planting experience is necessary.
Volunteers Under 14: Must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian throughout the event.
Volunteers Ages 14–17: May participate independently but must have a volunteer waiver signed by a parent or legal guardian.
| Important: All volunteers under 18 must have a completed waiver signed by a parent or legal guardian, even if an adult is attending with them. Waivers must be completed before the event or in person at check-in, before a parent or guardian leaves their child. Minors without a signed waiver will not be permitted to participate. |
