Celebrate Spring with LRPPG!
Each year, the Louis Robidoux Parkland & Pecan Grove hosts Spring Fling, a community event celebrating the season of renewal and growth. This free, family-friendly event is scheduled for Saturday, May 3rd from 1 PM - 4 PM and offers a range of activities and attractions for visitors of all ages!
What to See:
Spring is the perfect season to experience LRPPG and see the gardens burst into color and activity. This is the time of year when the flowers and wildlife put on a vibrant display! During Spring Fling, visitors can explore several of LRPPG's unique features:
California Biodiversity Garden: Discover the variety of California's native plants and learn how they support local wildlife. This garden highlights the importance of biodiversity in maintaining a healthy ecosystem.

Monarch Habitat Restoration Garden: Visit this 2-acre garden dedicated to restoring native plant communities to support monarch butterflies and other pollinators, thanks to support from the Wildlife Conservation Board and the California Association of Resource Conservation Districts.

Food & Medicine Garden: Learn about native plants traditionally used by local indigenous communities. This garden, developed with community partners from Serrano, Cahuilla, and Kizh/Tongva, highlights species used for food, medicine, and cultural practices.
“Air Bee-N-Bee” Hotel: Check out this specially-built bee habitat and learn how pollinators contribute to the health of our local environment.

Bird Observation Area: Spend a quiet moment observing local birds in our bird blind made out of repurposed materials.
LRPPG Trails: Take a walk along our system of trails winding through the property or choose to venture along the creek-adjacent Sunnyslope Trail. Look out for signage noting trail name and length and exercise caution when out walking no matter what part of the property you are on.
